This digital art portal, educational resource will empower Primary teachers and others who provide care for children to deliver high quality Art lessons at a touch off a button.  The easy to follow step by step instructions are delivered on screen by a fully qualified art and design teacher enabling children to benefit and enjoy therapeutic art lessons, which support mental wellbeing while showcasing their creativity and self expression. Children will relax and unwind creating these artworks and confidence will grow.  They will be proud of their final artworks which will be colourful and uplifting reminders of their talents and ability to be creative.

My own experience and research has shown that many teachers and carers feel anxious and unprepared to deliver engaging and inspirational art lessons. All that staff need to do is switch on the pre recorded art lessons on the white board or a device and the pupils follow the lesson.  The recording can be stopped, paused or rewinded to suit the skill and ability level of the child.  A calendar is embedded into the portal as a guide to help work through the different lessons which include topics on the national curriculum and cater for all abilities starting from beginners alongside lessons to cover seasonal holiday celebrations  for example Christmas, Easter, Halloween etc.

“Art Time Lets Shine’ has 40 art lessons included which can be used throughout the school year, with a few extra lessons added for those times when cover is needed unexpectedly.  A substitute teacher or assistant could play one of the lessons which the children follow.

Alternatively these lessons can be used for after schools art club. The portal can be shared in numerous classrooms at the same time for pupils to learn new creative skills and techniques in Art and Design whilst learning about different artists and movements in Art history.

‘Art Time Lets Shine’ is already being used by many schools across Northern Ireland, and the feedback so far has been incredible.  Sarah Kavanagh, Arts Coordinator, St Oliver Plunkett’s Primary said, “The portal is an excellent way of ensuring that our teaching staff are able to deliver effective art lessons across the curriculum. It is child centred and easy for the children to follow. With so many lessons available, the portal can be used throughout both KS1 and KS2, with great links with our various WAU topics.”

I want to give you the opportunity to experience my art portal and cordially invite you to join me on a zoom call so you can find out more about how the portal works and this will also provide you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Please click on the link to register for the call.
